Il WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) è composto generalmente da una miscela di fibra di legno e materiale plastico riciclato, solitamente polietilene. La fibra di legno conferisce al materiale l’aspetto tipico del legno mentre i materiali plastici migliorano la resistenza dello stesso agli agenti metereologici e il processo di degradazione.
Il WPC è resistente all’umidità, agli sbalzi di temperatura e ai raggi UV.
Le doghe realizzate in WPC richiedono una manutenzione minima, non richiedono verniciatura regolare e non si deteriorano facilmente a causa di umidità e agenti biologici. PACUR offre un servizio di manutenzione periodica per il mantenimento delle lamelle frangisole in ottimo stato a lungo.
Il WPC rientra nella categoria dei materiali ecocompatibili in quanto risultato di materie plastiche e fibre di legno riciclate.
